Ms Sofia Sidiropoulos – Member
Sofia is a highly experienced Registered Nurse with 33 years in the healthcare sector, specialising in surgical, liver transplant, organ donation, and intensive care nursing.
Her passion for education and research has driven her to earn both a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Public Health. She currently serves as the Anaesthesia Research Manager at Austin Health, where she has dedicated much of her nursing career. Additionally, Sofia manages clinical trials at the University of Melbourne, focusing on treatments for improving patient outcomes after anaesthesia.
Sofia was the inaugural Chair of the Anaesthesia Research Coordinators Network and currently contributes to the Data Safety Monitoring Committee for a study aimed at improving glucose management in Indigenous Australians with type 2 diabetes.
She is eager to bring her extensive expertise to the board of PRONIA, where she aims to support the ageing Greek community.
