Dementia Support Program Launch

“Stronger Together” is PRONIA’s support services program for people with early stages of dementia and their carers. The program was officially launched in Melbourne on Friday 27th October at the Treacy Center in Parkville by Maria Vamvakinou MP.
Guest speakers included PRONIA’s Board President Ms Elpis Korosidis, Dementia Australia’s State Manager Client Services Ms Jacinta Allen, Director Neuropsychiatry at Royal Melbourne Hospital Prof. Denis Velakoulis. MC of the event was PRONIA’s CEO Ms Tina Douvos-Stathopoulos.
More than 110 guests came together to learn about PRONIA’s new support program including community leaders, media and professionals. Guests enjoyed light lunch, discussion and the warm weather at the elegant grounds of the Treacy Center in Parkville.

PRONIA has had a long, proud history in advocating for social justice, equality of opportunity for individuals and communities, with the aim of helping to create a stronger, cohesive, and inclusive society for all Australians. It is within this spirit that PRONIA supports the Uluru Statement from the Heart and the “yes” vote in the upcoming referendum to constitutionally recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as the First Peoples of Australia and a Voice to parliament.
