“Stronger Together” Dementia Support Services Launch – Hobart Tasmania

“Stronger Together”, PRONIA’s new dementia support services programme, was successfully launched in Hobart on Sunday 30th July with enthusiastic participation and warm hospitality by members of the local Greek community. We are proud to be working with the Greek Community of Tasmania to deliver this programme, and we appreciate the effort and hard work of everyone involved.
“Stronger Together” aims to improve respite care for Greek-speaking individuals at early stages of dementia and their carers. Our sincere thanks to our guest speakers, John Xintavelonis, a well-loved actor, performer, and entertainer, who spoke about his personal experience as a carer, and Professor James Vickers, Director of the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, University of Tasmania, who spoke about the many issues surrounding dementia.
We look forward to the commencement of our services in Hobart on Tuesday, August 8. For more information, email dementiasupport@pronia.com.au.
