A ‘cocktail’ of success for PRONIA’s fundraising event against family violence

PRONIA is proud to announce that the Cocktail event, a fundraising cocktail party supporting the organisation’s work on preventing family violence, raised $85,000, surpassing its original goal. The success of the event is a testament to the support of our community that embraced PRONIA’s initiative to create a foundation against family violence.
Close to 140 guests attended the cocktail fundraiser, which took place Friday, 10th November, at the Brunswick Town Hall. The event featured speeches from PRONIA’s President Elpis Korosidis, PRONIA’s CEO Tina Douvos-Stathopoulos, Merri-bek’s Mayor Angelica Panopoulos, PRONIA’s family unit coordinator Kathy Barbakos and Safe and Equal’s Chair Maria Dimopoulos AM. Samantha Stathopoulos who is one of PRONIA’s family violence project workers acted as the MC of the event. The event raised more than $85,000 through ticket sales, sponsorships and raffle tickets, making it a very successful inaugural fundraiser for PRONIA’s foundation.
