Mr Elias Tsigaras – Director

As a teacher & Social Worker, i have worked with migrant & refugee communities for over 35 years
in many & varied capacities. Deputy Director of the New hope Foundation ( formerly South Central
Region Migrant Resource Centre, General Manager Aged & Community services (Micare), Executive
Director (VICSEG New Futures Training).

I have served on the Board of Adult Community & Further Education, the Inner South Community
Health Service & as President of the board VICSEG New Futures Training. I am currently working as
a social worker specifically in mental health in the NDIS.

I have always been passionate in my support for access to equitable & culturally appropriate services
for refugee, new & emerging & migrant communities as demonstrated throughout my working life.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Social Work / Bachelor of Applied Science ( Phys Ed) /Graduate Diploma
of Education.
